- ➤ On Jan. 15, about 80 residents met at a NAACP town hall to ask local leaders for stronger steps against youth violence, unsupervised gatherings and neighborhood neglect. Officials vowed to hold more forums and invest in community programs (planned to build trust and safety solutions) in the area. Amarillo Globe-News
- ➤ Community members gathered at Palo Duro High School (Palo Duro Activity Center) to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy with dance, music, and speeches. - ➤ RaceTrac will build a new convenience store at 1805 Lakeside Dr. starting in June and expected to be finished by October—this project is estimated to cost $1.5 million and cover 8,702 sqft. 96.9 KISS FM

- ➤ Potter County Fire Rescue now staffs Fire Station 3 off North Soncy + Fire Station 5 on East Willow Creek 24 hours every day. This change is expected to cut response times across the county. NewsChannel 10
