ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Crews are containing a 15-acre grass fire near NW 5th and North Hughes as North Heights High School was evacuated and roads including Amarillo Boulevard from Hughes to McMasters have been closed while two structures sustained damage and Xcel Energy restored power after de-energizing lines. - ➤ Batteries Plus at I-40 and Paramount is being demolished after a semi-truck accident in March 2025 damaged the building; K3 Construction is leading the teardown, with work expected to be finished by next week as a full rebuild is planned. 96.9 KISS FM
