  • United Way of Amarillo & Canyon exceeded its annual fundraising goal in just nine months, raising $3.5 million and impacting 85,211 lives in 2025. The nonprofit hosted a celebration on Feb. 26 at the Grand Plaza at the Civic Center (award winners received top honors).  Amarillo Globe-News
  • Amarillo Public Library’s Northwest Branch (6100 SW 9th Ave) is seeking donations of electronic toys for its annual Toy Take Apart event, where children learn how toys work by taking them apart. Donations can be dropped off at any APL location before the March event.  NewsTalk 940 AM
