- ➤ On Saturday, March 28, Center City will host the annual Mural Run at 512 S. Polk St. starting at 8:30 a.m. The event offers 5K, 10K and one mile options for families and pet owners to view nearly two dozen downtown murals as part of its biggest fundraiser. Amarillo Globe-News

- ➤ TTUHSC held Disaster Day training on Friday where a veterinary teacher showed nursing and vet students how to perform CPR on animals and people. Students practiced the skills (including animal resuscitation) to learn life-saving techniques. Amarillo Globe-News

- ➤ On Sunday, Mar. 8, the Maroon Fire burned an estimated 400 acres and reached 15% containment in Oldham and Hartley counties — forcing closures on U.S. Highway 385 and nearby intersections as agencies worked to contain it. Amarillo Globe-News
