- ➤ The Amarillo Police Department recovered a record 164 stolen vehicles in 2024 — using new license plate readers that were first installed in 2022 and expanded in 2023 to track 665 incidents and achieve 243 arrests. NewsChannel 10

- ➤ Texas A&M Forest Service crews are preparing as strong winds will raise fire risk on Friday—teams with heavy equipment and local fire groups are being set up in areas including Amarillo, Lubbock, and Childress. - ➤ The City of Amarillo posted a report with water quality data for the Osage Water Treatment facility. The report shows that fluoride, chloride and lead levels meet state and federal standards—earning the system a Superior Rating from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality in 2023. KGNC
