- ➤ Amarillo spring break events begin today with the El Barrio Spring Break Kickoff at Alamo Park from 2 to 4:30 p.m. — featuring pony rides, games, and free food, with kids camps and hands-on STEAM activities set from March 16 to 20 at local venues. Amarillo Tribune
- ➤ Hope Village will host Olivia Day on Sunday, Mar. 22 from 1 pm to 4 pm at 5197 S Washington, with community crafts, vendors, and free food (while supplies last) to encourage children to celebrate differences by dressing as superheroes or princesses. NewsTalk 940 AM
- ➤ Beloved lioness Sarai died on Thursday, Mar. 12 from natural causes at the Amarillo Zoo at age 20, having joined the zoo with her siblings in 2006; her brother Solomon passed in June 2025 while her sister Sheba remains.
