- ➤ Amarillo High business teacher Theresa Miller was named Chick-fil-A National Teacher of the Year during a surprise ceremony on Tuesday at the school. - ➤ A new grass fire in Hutchinson County forced the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to close FM 1319 between RM 687 and State Highway 136 starting Tuesday, March 24 at 11:45 a.m. Officials said hot, dry weather is raising wildfire risks statewide. Amarillo Globe-News

- ➤ Officials at Potter County Tax Office warn Amarillo drivers about a scam text claiming tags are past due and threatening a 65% fee if a link is clicked. Residents should delete any suspicious message + report it as spam. NewsChannel 10
- ➤ Amarillo Office of Emergency Management is teaming with the 6th (TX) Civil Support Team & local first responders for hazmat and law enforcement drills to boost response capabilities.
