- ➤ Sharing Hope Ministry is hosting a free Handy Gal 101 workshop to help at-risk and incarcerated women learn basic home maintenance and emergency skills in partnership with the Amarillo Fire Department, Cadre Fuller Construction, and Amarillo Custom Coatings. The workshop covers topics like plumbing, drywall repair, and fire safety with a fire extinguisher simulation and will be held April 12 from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Lucille and Leo Caiafa Jr. Center for Advancement — registration ends April 9. - ➤ Moore County officials worked to fix a grain elevator after Friday’s explosion—flooding the basement with help from the Sunray Fire Department and Skyland Grain while gas repairs continue today, residents are asked to save water, shelter plans are made for winter weather, five employees are being treated in Lubbock, and officials said there is no evidence the explosion was done on purpose.
