- ➤ The Potter County Law Enforcement Association is partnering with Support Solutions Inc.—which is contacting local businesses to offer Booster Sponsorships—to raise funds for community assistance programs that support sheriff’s office employees and events like Bye Bye Bootcamp and Shop with a Sheriff. - ➤ After a land hurricane damaged Tascosa Drive-In, local business The Studio held a discounted tattoo event over a snowy weekend and raised $6,276 to help repair the drive-in—showing strong community support in Amarillo. 96.9 KISS FM

- ➤ The Amarillo Fire Marshal’s Office responded to a vehicle fire in the 3800 block of West I-40 on April 1 and determined the blaze was set intentionally; after a thorough investigation, officers arrested Aaron Taylor early April 8 — he is now booked in Potter County Jail for arson. KGNC
- ➤ Police arrested Aaron Taylor for arson after a vehicle fire near West I-40 in between Western Street and Paramount Boulevard was found to be set on purpose on April 1 — he is now in Potter County Jail. NewsChannel 10
- ➤ On March 25, Amarillo police responded to an assault at SW 9th and Kentucky when a man selling ice cream was beaten with a skateboard by an unknown suspect who wanted ice cream but had no money, struck the victim several times and then tried to steal money and a phone before leaving empty handed, and the victim later received medical care. - ➤ The Texas Department of State Health Services reported 505 measles cases in the region with 8 in the Panhandle and a new case in Randall County over the weekend by the Amarillo Public Health Department and Canyon ISD.
