Amarillo mayoral candidate Jason Herrick said he will seek federal and state grants to repair an old wastewater plant and upgrade water systems without raising property taxes.

Over 5,000 fans filled Hodgetown on Tuesday for the Sod Poodles opening night but the team lost 16—7 to the Springfield Cardinals, with six home runs hit during the contest.
