  • Amarillo Crime Stoppers is hosting its 18th annual Shred It Day tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Document Shredding and Storage on 2727 S.W. 45th Ave—this free event offers a safe way to dispose of sensitive documents with a limit of four boxes per car and will recycle all shredded paper.  NewsChannel 10

  • Misty Collier, an Amarillo native running for mayor, shared her plans to boost public safety, repair roads and water systems, and expand affordable housing in a Q&A today.   • At TTUHSC’s Power of the Purse Luncheon, Paralympic snowboarder and bestselling author Amy Purdy told her story of overcoming challenges after losing her legs to meningitis—drawing more than 1,000 people to support women’s health research in the Texas Panhandle.
