- ➤ The Amarillo Police Department arrested five people after a fight and shooting at Cassidy’s Polo Club led to a police chase Tuesday at around 1 a.m.—officers from state and county agencies deployed spike strips that stopped a fleeing vehicle near Groom—and all individuals were booked at Randall County Jail. - ➤ Netflix is premiering Ransom Canyon today, a drama series based on the first novel by Amarillo writer Jodi Thomas that tells the story of three ranching families battling corporate developers—set in Texas and filmed in New Mexico. - ➤ AmTech High School architecture students presented ideas to restore the Pullman Diner, a 1938 landmark in downtown Amarillo by mixing old design with new uses for coffee shops, drive-through and food trucks.
