  • High school seniors at Bushland High have begun work to improve Eric Miller Park to honor a local boy who died in 2004 + they met with school officials and gained community support to clean, update equipment, and add a game exchange shed while still accepting donations.  NewsChannel 10
  • Dr. J.D. Ragland with Texas A&M Agri-Life Randall County explained today why soil samples are vital for both producers and home gardeners. He also noted that the Randall County Master Gardeners plant sale will take place this Saturday — a key event for local gardening enthusiasts.  KGNC
  • The High Plains Food Bank said it lost 13 truckloads of emergency USDA food—vital for thousands of families—due to federal funding changes. The organization launched the $250,000 Fill the Gap Campaign to quickly replace the lost supplies for over 13,000 households.  KGNC
  • The Amarillo Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is selling tickets for its Cinco de Mayo Fajita Festival—scheduled for May 3 at 5 p.m. at Hodgetown Stadium on 701 S. Buchanan.
