- ➤ Amarillo Firefighters support a project led by local moms to install a Safe Haven Baby Box—giving parents a secure, anonymous way to surrender newborns safely—and fundraising has begun to cover the installation and maintenance costs at no charge to the city. Amarillo Tribune
- ➤ The Wildcat Bluff Nature Center will open nearly two miles of new hiking trails on May 10—created from 125 donated acres by Mariposa Eco-Village—and will host live music, food trucks, and family games.
