  • A tornado touched down in the Madison Park neighborhood on Friday during severe weather, damaging about 20 homes along Willeford Avenue while no injuries were reported — emergency teams and local volunteers are working on cleanup and urging residents to stay clear of the area.  NewsChannel 10

  • On April 23, Governor Abbott signed Senate Bill 14 to create the Texas Regulatory Efficiency Office - a permanent group of 13 members set to cut regulations and lower state government spending.   • An EF1 tornado struck Canyon late Friday night with winds of 110 mph and no reported injuries—Canyon Mayor Gary Hinders declared a local disaster to enable quick emergency response and allow state or federal help for up to 7 days.  ABC 7 Amarillo
