- ➤ A tornado touched down in the Madison Park neighborhood on Friday during severe weather, damaging about 20 homes along Willeford Avenue while no injuries were reported — emergency teams and local volunteers are working on cleanup and urging residents to stay clear of the area. NewsChannel 10

- ➤ On April 23, Governor Abbott signed Senate Bill 14 to create the Texas Regulatory Efficiency Office - a permanent group of 13 members set to cut regulations and lower state government spending.
