- ➤ A tragic accident on I-40 early Saturday claimed the lives of two Dumas men when a 2020 Freightliner truck hit a disabled 2018 Chevrolet Camaro — 22-year-old Bryan Ordaz-Reyes and 19-year-old Braxton Amador were pronounced dead at the scene about three miles west of Alanreed. ABC 7 Amarillo

- ➤ A popular Amarillo restaurant Chuck E. Cheese closed permanently on Sunday leaving many customers scrambling to reschedule birthday parties and address membership concerns. - ➤ The Texas Panhandle War Memorial and Missing In America Project will honor several unclaimed Panhandle veterans with full military honors tomorrow at 6 p.m. at the War Memorial in Amarillo — a procession will begin May 1 from Amarillo to Lubbock and a final ceremony is planned on May 2 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. - ➤ Candidates and special interest groups spent nearly one million dollars in April on the upcoming Amarillo city council election.
