  • Amarillo police reported a 34-year-old man died after a white Buick left the road and struck him at South Coulter Street and Wolflin Avenue early Sunday morning—35-year-old driver Brett Hidson was booked on an intoxicated manslaughter charge while police investigated speed and narcotics use as factors.  NewsChannel 10

  • Amarillo Police investigated a fatal hit-and-run on Coulter Street early Sunday morning after a vehicle driven by Brett Hidson (35) struck pedestrian Brandon Waugh (34) and left him dead, with Hidson booked on an intoxicate manslaughter charge.  ABC 7 Amarillo
  • Potter County Sheriff’s Department made nine arrests on Saturday for charges including theft, tampering with evidence, unauthorized use of a vehicle, driving while intoxicated and resisting arrest across various Amarillo locations — suspects aged 23 to 56 were taken into custody between 5:25 a.m. and 11:29 p.m.—.  KGNC
  • Tucumcari police and Quay County Crime Stoppers are searching for Julian Martinez (dangerous and potentially armed) wanted for attempt to commit first degree murder, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated battery of a household member, and he may be in Amarillo, Tucumcari, Clovis or Albuquerque while offering a $1,000 reward for any tips.  NewsChannel 10

  • High school seniors in Amarillo and Canyon will start graduation ceremonies today with Amarillo Independent School District at Dick Bivins Stadium from 8 to 10 p.m.—other districts schedule ceremonies through May 23 at venues like Happy State Bank Stadium and the Amarillo Civic Center.  Amarillo Globe-News
