- ➤ The Fritch Volunteer Fire Department hosted Lake Meredith’s Memorial Day Bash on Saturday in Fritch — a fundraiser for the department and local small businesses — to kick off summer. The event featured food trucks, vendors, cornhole tournaments, a car show and fireworks. NewsChannel 10
- ➤ Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery hosted a Memorial Day flag ceremony to honor veterans where families and Boy Scouts Troop 10 led the event—Patriot Guard Riders lined the front with flags for over 3,000 soldiers laid to rest. The cemetery remains open during Memorial Day weekend for guests to place American flags on the graves as a sign of respect. NewsChannel 10

- ➤ TxDOT Amarillo released its road report for the week starting May 26; Monday will have no closures (Memorial Day) while Wednesday will see lane closures at the westbound I-40 ramp from Grand Street and at the Hastings Avenue/US 87 intersection (bridge beam work) during set hours. Further, the northbound I-27 lane and I-40 frontage roads will close overnight and throughout the week for barrier, lighting, and patching work. ABC 7 Amarillo
