- ➤ More than 30 Pantex employees volunteered on May 29 to pack food boxes at High Plains Food Bank to help meet rising summer food demand. - ➤ More than 60 Texas Longhorns will lead a new route in the annual Coors Cowboy Club Cattle Drive on June 7 at 10 a.m. from 1000 S. Polk St. +the event will follow a simplified path turning onto 3rd Street and heading straight to the Tri-State Fairgrounds for the Ranch Rodeo, and organizers will hold a photo contest with two $500 prizes+. - ➤ The Texas Route 66 Festival will take place in Amarillo and nearby Route 66 towns from June 5 to 14 and will feature a cattle drive, live music and car shows.
