- ➤ More than 450 people gathered at Potter County courthouse lawn in downtown Amarillo on Wednesday for the 30th season of High Noon on the Square, where Ed Montana performed live music and the Coors Cowboy Club grilled over 400 hamburgers for the crowd — a strong display of community spirit. - ➤ Umbarger will soon welcome a new drive-thru restaurant called Mojo's in the former Rafter G building to serve breakfast and brunch for residents and highway travelers. - ➤ Texas Route 66 Festival Coors Cowboy Club Cattle Drive & Parade is set to take place on Saturday at 10 a.m. The parade will start at 1000 S. Polk Street, travel down Polk, turn on 3rd Street, and end at the Tri-State Fairgrounds featuring Texas Longhorns, classic cars, themed floats, and a $500 photo contest for participants. - ➤ Cheryl Ray, a gardening teacher at Will Rogers Elementary, runs Ms. Ray’s Garden of Hope where students plant peppers, onions, and cucumbers so they can learn about growing food and take home fresh produce.
