- ➤ Amarillo’s Pride on the Plains is set to return Saturday, June 28 from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Memorial Park as over 3,200 registered attendees join music, family activities, and vendor booths; organizers have increased security with fenced areas, bag checks, and extra private guards—steps taken in response to online threats and reduced corporate sponsorship. - ➤ City officials reported that the Amarillo Zoo’s lion Solomon died of natural causes at age 20 earlier this month. He arrived in 2006 and his care inspired many visitors—his passing now affects other residents of the zoo. NewsChannel 10

- ➤ Amarillo police are looking for 12-year-old Georgia Carrillo who was last seen near Northwest 14th Ave and North Lamar Street on Tuesday + she is described as about 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 115 pounds with black hair and brown eyes + anyone with information should call the Amarillo Police Department. - ➤ Amarillo police said that 22-year-old Braydon Mitchell Ellertson was fatally shot at Olsen Park early Wednesday around 12:08 a.m.—the shooting followed a physical fight with a caller who fired a shot, and officers are continuing their investigation with no arrests made so far. NewsChannel 10
