- ➤ Fermi America & the Texas Tech University System have partnered to build the HyperGrid campus in Amarillo that is set to become the largest energy-driven AI complex in America by integrating nuclear power, natural gas, solar power & battery storage. The 5,769-acre campus will have the potential to deliver up to 11 gigawatts of power and 18 million square feet of AI capacity as geotechnical work has begun and a gigawatt is expected online by the end of 2026. - ➤ Texas Senate Bill 568 was signed into law to boost and reform special education funding for area school districts. The law offers a $1,000 testing fee for referrals & an eight-tier system to match services with student needs & adds funding for the Career College Military Readiness program. NewsChannel 10

- ➤ Amarillo officials bought three new DuraPatcher pothole repair trucks last August and began repairing potholes last month. Public Works Director Alan Harder said the trucks—tested in Denver City—fill about 200 potholes a day and are set to improve roads. NewsChannel 10
- ➤ David Prescott was sworn in as Amarillo’s new Place 3 councilmember on Tuesday, June 24—replacing Tom Scherlen after a runoff decided by just 50 votes.
