- ➤ Bridging the Gaps gifted a fully furnished apartment to Marcus Ogans, a man working with Grow Amarillo to regain stability, with help from Amarillo Furniture Exchange and Belmont Apartments — the nonprofit plans to help more people find safe housing. - ➤ A Residence Inn and Springhill Suites hotel is planned near the airport and Buc-ee’s on Amarillo’s east side to meet growing visitor demand; construction will start in July with completion set for November. - ➤ Amarillo police are seeking new leads in the 22-year-old disappearance of Bethany Lynn Bristow (Bull), who was reported missing on June 7, 2003, from the 2200 block of S Milam when her family noted her mail was uncollected and her purse empty. ABC 7 Amarillo

- ➤ Three local graduates—Kason Koenig, Ansley Tiffin-Fernandes, and Blake Graham—were selected for Class XV of the McKnight Scholars Leadership Program at Oklahoma State University and will each receive an $85,000 scholarship package that includes a tuition waiver, a $5,000 cash award per year for four years, and a short-term study abroad program. - ➤ Texas Tech University's School of Veterinary Medicine in Amarillo will hold two camps for kids to learn what veterinarians do. The camp for ages 8-10 starts on July 29 and the camp for ages 13-18 starts on July 30—both run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., require check-in at 8:30 a.m., cost $95, and need registration by July 16.
