  • Amarillo police are investigating the death of Christopher Scott Copeland, 54, who was shot multiple times at 8:20 a.m. on July 8th behind an apartment complex on Janet Street—officers detained Lyle Youngs III for questioning.  ABC 7 Amarillo
  • The Amarillo Police Department Cold Case Unit is asking for tips to solve the disappearance of Bethany Lynn Bristow, who was last seen at her home on South Milam Street around noon on June 1, 2003 — her brother reported her missing on June 7 after noticing her mail piled up and her purse empty.  NewsChannel 10
  • Authorities arrested two Amarillo residents in a human trafficking sting targeting three massage parlors in Randall County on July 7 and charged Zhi Zhi Luna, aged 60, with aggravated promotion of prostitution and Zhen Li Parr, aged 56, with promotion of prostitution — the investigation continues with further charges pending.  Amarillo Globe-News
