- ➤ Amarillo will host a free outdoor movie screening at Sam Houston Park on July 18 when Grease starts at dark — families should bring blankets or lawn chairs and get free popcorn — making it a family-friendly evening event. 96.9 KISS FM
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ An 18-year-old teen named Kevin Alexander Hunt was arrested for possessing explosive components and booked at Randall County Jail just before 9:30 p.m. Friday (authorities have not disclosed further details) and he will remain in custody on a federal detainer with a $1.5 million bond. - ➤ The Panhandle Heritage Foundation will present Shakespeare in the Canyon’s production of The Taming of the Shrew at the Palo Duro Canyon Amphitheatre at 8 p.m. on July 14 and July 21. - ➤ Data from Realtor.com showed that in April, homes in Potter County sold at a median price of $154,787, up 5.5% from March's $146,772—while single-family homes saw a small decrease and condominiums and townhomes jumped to a median of $248,750.
