- ➤ Amarillo Police Department deployed two drone pilots and six drones to Central Texas to assist with search, mapping, and flood recovery after deadly storms caused major flooding in the Hill Country. The team was requested by the Texas Department of Public Safety and Burnet County Sheriff’s Office, arrived over the weekend, and is working in areas too dangerous for ground crews — supporting efforts to locate missing residents.
