- ➤ Paint Rock Coffee Co. will open a new drive-thru shop soon at the corner of Hillside and Bell in the old Toot N Totum building in Amarillo—owner Tommy Bonner said the shop will have in-house baked treats, hand-painted walls, and local input from coffee lover Kris after 2 1/2 years of planning. The shop is expected to open in the next 3-6 months. 96.9 KISS FM

- ➤ Hooters closed its Amarillo restaurant earlier this week and employees learned the news by text message, leaving locals to wonder about the Hooters Horse from the Hoof Prints project.
