- ➤ Amarillo’s 8th annual Water Bash will take place on Aug. 2 at Bones Hooks Park where families can enjoy water balloons, food, games and sign up for free backpacks, haircuts and braids—serving as pre-registration for the indoor event at the Warford Center on Aug. 10 that will offer extra resources and a hot meal. - ➤ Amarillo Animal Management and Welfare will launch its Clear the Shelters campaign tomorrow with waived adoption fees and free spay/neuter services — every adoption includes vaccinations and microchipping as the event runs for the month. NewsChannel 10
- ➤ Residents and officials celebrated on July 25 the completion of a sidewalk project in North Heights that made it safer for kids, seniors, and wheelchair users; funding came from federal grants and neighborhood contributions.
