  • Amarillo seniors gathered on Saturday evening at the 55+ Club parking lot at 2404 SW 6th St to support plans to renovate the former Senior Citizens Center into a community hub with donation-sponsored room upgrades. The club’s board is working with local donors and city leaders to fund the nearly $1 million interior renovation and begin construction soon.  Amarillo Globe-News

  • Juan Antonio Salinas III was sentenced to life in prison for murdering his girlfriend Cecilia Rodriguez, who was shot on February 3rd, 2024—trial evidence showed he had repeatedly abused her and isolated her from family and friends.  ABC 7 Amarillo

  • Ruben visited the Texas Air and Space Museum—located at 10001 American Dr—to learn about the Panhandle’s aviation history, including the museum’s move in 2009 from Tradewind Airport under Haven Arrow’s support; volunteer Ron Fernuik said the museum offers hands-on exhibits and now needs volunteers to help access additional property.  NewsChannel 10
