- ➤ A study showing that 53% of small businesses use artificial intelligence has led the WT Enterprise Center to launch a free four-part workshop series for Amarillo entrepreneurs starting Tuesday, Sept. 9 until Sept. 30 from 6 to 7 p.m. The sessions, led by Parker Settle and Orry Skelton of Synapse AI at 2300 N Western St.—they will teach business owners how to use AI to start and grow a business. - ➤ The man accused of shooting a security guard and kidnapping his wife in north Amarillo was arrested on August 14 near Redwood and Pecan and indicted by a federal grand jury for illegal entry—he now faces state charges for aggravated assault and kidnapping while awaiting federal prosecution that will likely lead to deportation.
