Amanda Kenner, the general manager at the Amarillo McDonald's on I-40 — Western, was named one of the fast food giant’s top-performing managers worldwide after receiving the Ray Kroc Award for excellence in operations, team building and customer service.

She has worked at the restaurant for 16 years and is one of only 397 managers to earn the honor.

Sysavath ‘CC’ Sysombath, P.E., has been named the Dumas Area Engineer for TxDOT Amarillo District, effective today—he will manage construction, maintenance and operations in six northwest counties.

Due to construction on northbound I-27 near McCormick Road, TxDOT has begun a long-term traffic switch as part of a project to widen the highway from four to six lanes and improve drainage—drivers must take the FM 2219/Lair Road exit since the McCormick exit is closed.
