ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Randall County Sheriff’s Office reported a grass fire spread south of Amarillo—between FM 1151 and East Costley Road—that burned about 70 acres and was 50% contained. Officials said they would give more updates as further details become available. NewsChannel 10
- ➤ Multiple agencies and the Texas A&M Forest Service are working to contain two fires burning in Potter and Wheeler counties— the 'C2' fire in Potter has burned 70 acres and is 50% contained while the 'Bronco Creek' fire in Wheeler has burned 200 acres and is 65% contained. Crews from Dumas and local agencies dropped fire retardant using three aircraft and one private helicopter as windy conditions continue to affect the area. NewsChannel 10
