- ➤ Amarillo Botanical Gardens will host a Grinch Brunch on December 22nd from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.—families can reserve $20 tickets to enjoy Whoville food, games, crafts, and photos with the Grinch. Reservations are required for this festive holiday event. 96.9 KISS FM
- ➤ The Salvation Army of Amarillo needs volunteers to ring bells at Red Kettles and help with Angel Tree work to support families during the holiday season—volunteers can sign up for kettle shifts from Nov.10 to Dec.23 and for Angel Tree duties until Dec.19. Amarillo Globe-News
- ➤ Amarillo launched Carevember, a donation drive that is accepting winter gloves, toothbrushes, toothpaste and hygiene pads at every public library branch throughout November — the city aims to collect 1,500 pairs of gloves and 5,232 hygiene pads for care kits by the United Way Youth Leadership Council — to support those in need. - ➤ Three Panhandle educators were named October winners of the Teachers on the Rise program by United Family and Mrs. Baird’s Bread.
