- ➤ Amarillo families will enjoy Christmas in the Sky at Hodgetown on December 12 with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. and a free fireworks show at 7:00 p.m.—the event offers live music, treats, and photos with Santa on a first-come, first-served basis. 96.9 KISS FM
- ➤ Tickets are available for the 36th annual Amarillo Community Prayer Breakfast and community members will gather on November 25 from 6:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. at the Amarillo Civic Center North Exhibit Hall—featured guest Julie Miller, executive director and co-founder of the Adera Foundation, will deliver a message on community blessings. - ➤ Today, McDonald’s in Amarillo, Canyon, Dumas, Dalhart and Borger is hosting a Give Back event to support the Texas Panhandle First Responders Memorial Project — a fundraiser that is already over 90% toward its $1 million goal and aims to break ground in January. - ➤ Amarillo’s former Rib Crib is being remodeled into Texas Rose Steakhouse with hiring and training underway, and the menu will remain similar to its current locations (Pampa, Canyon, and Borger). - ➤ Amarillo’s historic Herring Hotel on 3rd Street is set for a $100 million renovation to become a five-star boutique hotel with 226 rooms, 20 suites and a rooftop dining area—while restoring its original lobby and ballroom for future guests.
