- ➤ H-E-B gave $40,000 to Family Support Services of Amarillo to help the group recover after a fire & many locals wonder if this gift means a future H-E-B store, though the company has no plans to build one now. NewsTalk 940 AM
- ➤ Amarillo families will enjoy Christmas in the Sky at Hodgetown on December 12 with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. and a free fireworks show at 7:00 p.m.—the event offers live music, treats, and photos with Santa on a first-come, first-served basis. 96.9 KISS FM

- ➤ Today, McDonald’s in Amarillo, Canyon, Dumas, Dalhart and Borger is hosting a Give Back event to support the Texas Panhandle First Responders Memorial Project — a fundraiser that is already over 90% toward its $1 million goal and aims to break ground in January. - ➤ Amarillo’s former Rib Crib is being remodeled into Texas Rose Steakhouse with hiring and training underway, and the menu will remain similar to its current locations (Pampa, Canyon, and Borger). - ➤ Fermi America signed a 99-year lease with the Texas Tech University System to build an advanced energy and intelligence campus next to the Pantex Plant—dubbed Project Matador—that will be developed in four phases, with Phase One set to deliver 1.1 GW by the end of 2026. - ➤ Amarillo’s historic Herring Hotel on 3rd Street is set for a $100 million renovation to become a five-star boutique hotel with 226 rooms, 20 suites and a rooftop dining area—while restoring its original lobby and ballroom for future guests.
