- ➤ Transformation Park in Amarillo, which opened April 12, has provided shelter for about 130 people each night in pallet homes and safe space areas. - ➤ The Amarillo Police Officers Association will donate up to $4,000 in bicycles for the Northside Toy Drive by gathering at Walmart Wednesday evening to load bikes of all sizes for kids in need. - ➤ Today at the Atomic Yellow, a venue opened in 2024 by two couples under Arts in the Sunset hosts affordable shows for music lovers of all ages. - ➤ Today, the THS Belles from Tascosa High School are dancing in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York as they represent Amarillo ISD; the team left on Nov. 21 after a competitive selection process. - ➤ Canyon ISD has partnered with Amarillo College to launch the Badger Bound Scholarship—this program offers eligible high school students 45 free college credit hours, provided they complete 15 dual credit hours before graduation and enroll in college the summer or fall afterward.
