  • The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program invites Amarillo residents to adopt an Angel Tree child by purchasing new, unopened gifts from now through December 13. Gifts must be returned by December 17 at Westgate Mall or select Walmart locations—ensuring no child in our community is left without a joyful Christmas.  96.9 KISS FM
  • More than 200 people gathered at the Amarillo Civic Center on Saturday evening for the annual tree lighting ceremony that kicked off the holiday season—attendees enjoyed a performance by the Sundown Singers, hot chocolate, popcorn, a screening of The Polar Express and photos with Santa.  ABC 7 Amarillo
  • Amarillo will host its Center City Electric Light Parade on December 5 at 6 p.m.—the event will feature cowboy-themed floats and end at the Civic Center with a tree lighting and Santa visit—while Canyon will celebrate with a Christmas parade starting at 6:30 p.m. along 4th Street and finish by lighting a large tree on the courthouse square.  NewsTalk 940 AM
  • Families will attend the 13th Annual Northside Toy Drive on December 13th at Palo Duro High School Activity Center (1 p.m.), where children (ages 2-12) can pick a gift with no registration required. The drive will help support local families in need.  NewsTalk 940 AM
