- ➤ Officials updated Booker on the Preferred Beef Group fire on Monday, Jan. 28 — no injuries were reported and 300 employees were temporarily out of work while smoke lingered at the plant as investigators worked to determine the cause. NewsChannel 10

- ➤ Amarillo residents are hopeful for an H-E-B store as nearby Lubbock expands with a second location costing $237 million plus $150 million for fuel and car wash add-ons. H-E-B has not yet announced plans for Amarillo due to challenges with distribution centers. 96.9 KISS FM
- ➤ On Tuesday, Jan. 27, Potter County approved a lease allowing Duo’s Edge AI to set up a modular edge data center in downtown Amarillo (near the Santa Fe Building).
